The time has come again for me to take a breather from blogging for a while. Maybe a long while. I’ve been blogging on and off since August of 2003 and I’m burned out. Life has been working hard to keep me on my toes, I’ve got some personal goals that I need to work on that won’t wait any longer, and let’s face it – the pope has gone and stolen a lot of my thunder.
And I’m as pleased as punch about it. We’re getting some real, actual leadership from Rome, and that means I feel at ease with the idea that I should just shut up and be a regular Catholic guy for a while instead of the town crier. Live life. Be a better husband, a better dad. Stop wasting time coming up with pithy posts and try accomplishing something in the non-blog world.
That kind of thing.
If something strikes my fancy in the mean time (however long that is) I’m likely to post it at Catholic Restorationists, unless it’s too stupid, in which case I’ll put it here.
There are decent odds that this space, at least as a Catholic blog, may fold. I could turn it into a personal journal of some sort, or I could do nothing at all. I will keep the URL, however, because if I get rid of it, WordPress won’t let me have it back.
And I never know when the urge will strike.
So until then, thanks for reading. If you’ll be so kind as to keep me and my family in your prayers, it will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for the time you’ve put in here, it has been edifying for me.
Best wishes to you and your family.
Well, at least I have a lot of reading to do on your site while you take a break. I just came across it from “Caveman’s” site. Don’t be gone too long- very enjoyable reading here….I don’t agree with you on everything, but that’s good- makes me think and helps me analyze my convictions a bit more.
